With 5.2 million passengers recorded in 2010, Brussels South Charleroi Airport is the largest regional airport in Belgium.

Communication issue

The airport is positioned as the Friendly Airport: easy, quick and friendly.

Solution

To keep the friendlyness of the airport permanently under the media spotlight, we regularly develop different approaches that present the quality of the services provided by the airport to its passengers. For instance, we transposed the problem of lost luggage into a mediagenic angle. Loosing luggage is very annoying. The airport led a study on that issue and provided some advise to decrease the risks of lost luggage while travelling.

Results

The media largely accepted the message and gave credit to the airport by publishing practical advise to passengers and avoid these unpleasant situations. The position of the Friendly Airport has been greatly strengthened.
